LegalDoc-Prep is not a law firm. LegalDoc-Prep and its Legal Document Assistant do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or attorney services.

Documents are prepared at the client's specific direction based on information provided by the client.

Services may include document preparation relating to matters such as family court, probate, estate planning documents, conservatorships, guardianships, deeds, name changes, QDROs, and other document preparation services permitted for a California Legal Document Assistant.

The availability and scope of services may depend on the circumstances of each request and whether the requested service can lawfully be performed by a Legal Document Assistant.

LegalDoc-Prep reserves the right to decline a request that falls outside the permitted scope of document preparation services.

04. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing complete, truthful, accurate, and timely information necessary for document preparation.

LegalDoc-Prep prepares documents based on the information and instructions provided by the client and is not responsible for errors or delays resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or omitted information supplied by the client.

Clients are responsible for carefully reviewing prepared documents and promptly informing LegalDoc-Prep of any factual errors or requested corrections before documents are signed, submitted, served, recorded, or filed.

Clients remain responsible for their legal matter, decisions, deadlines, court appearances, filing requirements, and compliance with instructions issued by courts or government agencies unless a particular administrative service has expressly been included in the services agreed upon.

05. No Legal Advice or Representation

LegalDoc-Prep cannot select legal strategies, determine legal rights, recommend a particular course of legal action, interpret the law for a client, or represent a client in court.

Information provided through this website, communications, forms, questionnaires, or document preparation services is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney.

When a matter requires legal advice or legal representation, clients should consult a qualified California attorney.

06. Fees and Payment

Fees for document preparation services may vary depending on the type and scope of services requested.

Applicable fees and payment arrangements will be communicated to the client in connection with the requested services.

Unless otherwise agreed, fees charged by courts, government agencies, process servers, recording offices, notaries, or other third parties are separate from LegalDoc-Prep's document preparation fees.

Payment terms applicable to a particular service will be communicated before or during the engagement.

07. Cancellations and Refunds

Requests for cancellation or refunds are evaluated based on the circumstances of the service, including whether document preparation or other work has already begun or been completed.

Any applicable cancellation or refund terms communicated in connection with a particular service will apply to that engagement.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights that cannot lawfully be limited under applicable law.

08. Court Filing and Processing

Court filing procedures, processing times, hearings, decisions, acceptance of documents, and other actions taken by courts or government agencies are outside the control of LegalDoc-Prep.

LegalDoc-Prep cannot guarantee that a court, government agency, recording office, or other third party will accept, approve, process, or decide a matter in a particular way or within a particular period.

Court rules, forms, filing procedures, fees, and processing times may change without notice.

09. No Guarantee of Outcome

LegalDoc-Prep does not guarantee the outcome of any legal proceeding, filing, application, petition, request, or other legal matter.

The preparation of documents does not guarantee that documents will be accepted by a court or agency or that a client will obtain a particular result.
